Patriarchal visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew

We have been asked if anyone would like to join the Patriarchal visit of his all Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. 

This is in celebration of his Eminence Archbishop Nikitas. 

The price of the ticket is £120 each person 

It will be hosted at: 

London Hilton, Park Lane, London. 

On: Tuesday 15th September 2026. 

If you are interested, please let one of the committee members know as soon as possible, as tickets will need to be reserved. 

The ticket price will need to be paid upfront/in advance if you would like to to attend.

Explore Historic Monastery: Coach Trip from Eastbourne

The church is organising a coach trip from Eastbourne to the Monastery of Saint John the Baptist (also known as the Community of Saint John the Baptist) in Essex on Saturday 4th July. There will be a tour of the grounds, a visit to the newly consecrated Church of Saint Sophrony, the bookshop, the burial ground of St Sophrony and much more.

Stella Georgiou Mother of Sonia, Vera(Rebecca) and Andy

It is with the greatest sadness we announce: 


                     Stella Georgiou Mother of Sonia, Vera(Rebecca) and Andy has sadly passed away on Thursday 3rd February 2022 


The funeral will be held on Wednesday 23rd February 2022 at 1.00 pm at the church of St Panteleimon and St Theodoros, Cavendish place and then at Langney Cemetery. The wake will be held in the church hall afterwards. 


Any flowers or donations to be made to the church in memory of Stella Georgiou.

2019 – Greek Night

It is with great regret that we must announce that the Greek Night on Saturday 26th October 2019 has now been cancelled due to the death of a valued and beloved member of our Greek community.  Mikis Scoufarides, husband of Sonia (Our President).  

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family during this time.

Any queries regarding the cancellation of the Greek night can be forwarded to Stella (stella.ryland@orthodoxeastbourne.org) or the other committee members.
